Teri reported that the balance in the QCC account is about $4,373.00. This includes a deposit of $120.00 from the 2013 Christmas luncheon and a payment of $500.00 for the deposit to the Hammond Golf Club for the June 2014 golf tournament. Teri agreed that she will provide the 2013 financial statements to Wendy for posting to the QCC website.
This was Paul Remillard’s last event. The attendance was about 50 people with draws for LCBO gift certificates. Overall, this was a good event.
About 35 people participated in the winter lunch held at the Prescott on Preston Avenue which was hosted by Dave. The lunch went well with much chatting and it certainly appeared that the people had fun.
Ann is hosting this event. Ann reported that we have a full draw for this event. Ann and Guy will ensure that Ray Martinuk will be honoured at this event for his organization of the curling events for the past 10 years, 20 bonspiels.
This event is being hosted by Leslie, Lisa and Jean-François. It will be held at the Mill Street Brew Pub which has free parking. It was agreed that the QCC will provide a $200 deposit to the restaurant to reserve a separate room on the second floor of the building which may still be available to other patrons. Guy will give J-F the go ahead to reserve the restaurant.
Leslie agreed to prepare the invitation for this event while Denis will review the translation of the invitation. Sheila will send out the invitation and Wendy will have it posted on the QCC website. Lisa will verify with Dave if any of the unused prizes from the winter lunch can be raffled at the spring lunch.
Guy is hosting this event with assistance from Denis and Barry. The golf course is booked and the deposit has been made. Guy will prepare the various announcements to be sent out by Sheila and posted by Wendy to the QCC website. Denis will look after receiving the names of the players and will also be the contact point for the payment of money from the golf players. Barry will assist Guy on the day of the tournament itself.
This event will be held at the RA Centre. Ann will be hosting this event.
Leslie is hosting and will look after getting the first invitation -“a reserve the date” – before the end of June 2014. Guy, Denis and Barry will assist Leslie. The room has been reserved at the Sala San Marco. The comedian still needs to be hired through Yuk-Yuk’s.
There was much discussion on the posting of posters in various CRA buildings, specifically on the employee bulletin boards, as well as including this event in various branches “blast” e-mails to staff. It was agreed that a poster would be used for this event. Barry and Leslie will work with the printer to develop the poster. Denis will prepare the invitation for this event. The price of the ticket to this event will be determined at the June 2014 meeting of the QCC directors as we will have the cost of the comedian as well as the cost of the room rental.
The RCMP curling rink has been reserved for this date. Ann will be hosting this event.
Lysanne and Wendy will book the venue for this event by September 2014. It was agreed to that part of the invitation will include a request for food donations to the Ottawa Food Bank.
Ann, Lisa, Teri, Wendy and Dave will report on the results of their research about a possible shopping trip to the States at the next meeting in June 2014.
Wendy will review the content of the website to ensure that wording related to the QCC executive is consistent throughout the site and in agreement with the QCC constitution.

With Brian McCauley’s retirement, Guy is in the process of getting a new AC sponsor. Guy will report on his discussions at the June 2014 meeting.
